40km Classic: Fast rural fire roads, lush Mowbray National Park rainforest, and the legendary Bump Track descent.
70km Epic: Includes the full Classic route plus the rugged Black Mountain Road, creek crossings, and the newly re-opened 16km Twin Bridges track.

⏱️ New for 2026: Stage-Timed Format Tactics matter this year! Your official race time will be calculated from two timed stages (The Outback/Rainforest Stage + The 4-Mile Beach Sprint). The 3km town transition is neutralized—so you can recover between burns.

40km Classic RRR: The quintessential Triple R experience. A fast-paced journey starting with wide-open rural gravel and fire trails before diving into the lush, technical rainforest canopy of Mowbray National Park and the legendary Bump Track.

70km Epic RRR: For the endurance rider. This course covers the full 40km Classic route but adds the rugged Black Mountain road and Twin Bridges Track - a technical, undulating loop featuring extra climbing, creek crossings, and remote hinterland trails.

This year, your total race time will come from two timed stages and the
✅ Classic Course: 32 km from Mt. Molloy to the Craiglie underpass
✅ Classic Course: 5 km of 4 Mile Beach to the finish
✅ Long Course: 62 km from Mt. Molloy to the Craiglie underpass
✅ Long Course: 5 km of 4 Mile Beach to the finish
The 3km Port Douglas footpath section will be neutralized Targa-style — no racing here. Stick to the set time !

Cash Prizes & Category Payouts
We’re putting money on the line for our fastest racers! Cash prizes are awarded exclusively to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in the Open Men and Open Women categories across both the Short Course and Long Course.
Open Category Cash Breakdown (Per Gender, Both Courses):
1st Place: $150
2nd Place: $100
3rd Place: $75
Note: Cash payouts are restricted to the Open/Elite categories. Racers in Age-Group, E-Bike, Junior, and Social divisions will be competing for custom trophies, medals, and sponsor product prizes. If you want a shot at the cash purse, you must register for the Open class!

Requirement - NO race license needed! However, you are still covered by event insurance if something happens to go wrong
