Thinking about signing up for 18 hours of Fruita this May. Anyone have any experience or feedback on the course? Mainly wondering if it would be a good one on the single speed? Also, what other events are people looking at for 2011?

Here is a link to the event site. I've never heard of it, but it is in the Mary's loop area and I know that stuff is really fun to ride. There are a bunch of gems in there and its all right on the Colorado River.

18 hours of Fruita is held at Highline State Park.  Six mile loop around the lake.  Single speed for sure!!!!  Nothing technical or steep at all.  Good luck.

Is that the camp ground? I've never been there - feeding false information. Sorry Fro. Knowing you are a singlespeeder, though, this is probably great news.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I'll be signing up and that will make for some nice early season motivation.
