I don't want to say the "W" word quite yet, but there is snow on the peaks and me and the missus got sleeted on during our last ride. Leaves are on the ground. Its cold. I am not ready. Need more dirt, more singletrack, more pedaling!

Who knows what tomorrow will bring, but right now after noon, it still feels like summer, and I will take it!

Yesterday rallying 18 road in the sun in Fruita. Today hammering on the keyboard watching it rain outside in Crested Butte. I need a time machine.

Snow on the ground here in CB. Raining in Gunny. Making the call that Hartmans is going to be perfect for a mid-day rally - at least that is what I am telling myself because I am jonesing to ride.

Good call. Hartmans was super-good. Tacky and buff. Got out to check the new Aberdeen route as well. Very, very good job and route. The trail is all up on the ridges rather than running up the washes. It is a cross-country rider's wet dream. Amazing vistas and trail that is already setting up nice. A must do - if this snow doesn't bury us!

Anybody know the current state of Hartmans? Still good to go, or muddy and not sweet? Would love to know, and do my trick or treating out there if possible.

The snow was still melting today, but it is pretty good. Hartmans manages the moisture well. It was a bit muddy, but really nice out there.

Holy cow, the new Aberdeen Loop is an ass-kicker. Wanna go try it the other way now. Perfect biking forecast here in CB for several days. Hard to play with skis right now.

Whoa, which way did you do it? I did it from the jeep road heading West up out of the quarry to the new singletrack. Saw a few people running it the other way. Can't really imagine it being nearly as much fun.

I went up the road and did it counter-clockwise. Sorry few other groups but they were all going the other way and recommended it. So who knows. Fun for sure either way I bet. Would like to try it again before its nordork time.
