Anybody following this insane carnage that is the first two days of the Tour? And tomorrow is supposed to be the craziest yet! Man this is almost as fun as riding right now.

I was just reading about it.. harsh!  It seems like the Tour has been pushing for more media coverage the last several years...  you think they are trying to create news with this course selection?   Got this quote : "Some riders and team officials said that more than half of the nearly 200 competitors, including many of the race favorites, crashed on Monday."

I was listening to the feed and before the cobbles sections the announcers were talking about how whoever can own the pave and all the rest of the challenges should be crowned the king, but once everyone started going down they started whining about the course directors. I think everyone was on the same course and it was a dangerous course. This isn't Bocce. It sucks that so many people got beat down, but this is a real race.

Lance's interview yesterday was really good, and his attitude seemed great! Perhaps becoming a Leadville 100 contender has helped and supposedly the whole Radio Shack Team may be coming over for it. Those guys pretty much said shit happens and unfortunately today it did. With as crazy as its been so far, this thing is far from over.

Loving watching Cav win. Who cares if he's brash? It is character and a lot of fun to watch. Renshaw is an animal delivering him the way he does. Love it. Tomorrow we go up!

I am sitting on my couch eating strawberry ice cream and drinking really bad white wine, wondering why Lance couldn't climb any faster today.

Brutal. The Astana team worked hard to put the screws to him - a very shrewd maneuver. Watching Evans hit the wall right now. Painful.

Nice one for Radio Shack. Gotta take what they can get at this point. Any bets on Leipheimer getting on the podium?

Damn, Renshaw! Getting booted was a little harsh. Didn't Robbie McCewen do the same thing a couple years back?

Now the Pyrenees. With the way this tour has gone I imagine almost anything can happen and will.

Waking up at 5:30 is pretty rewarding when you see a stage like that. 3 more days in the Pyrenees to come!

Agreed. Good dig by Lance. Surprised nothing major happened between Schleck and Cantador. Would have been nice to see a bigger battle there. I'd like to see Andy have a go because he will suffer on the time trial.

I am going to try and wake up at 4:30 to watch the Tourmalet stage. Should be the biggest, baddest showdown of all time!!!

Dammit! I had a 9 am meeting so I had to leave the house with 15 K to go right when they were starting up the Col du Tourmalet. Missed the action. Looks like Mr. Contador has this one pretty well sewed up.
