The Baldwin Loop is a fun, quick trail that starts and finishes on the Verde Valley School Rd. It can be paired with a trip to the Red Rock Crossing to dip your toes in Oak Creek or watch the sun set. It is also a great connector for the Templeton Trail, Highline, and, if you cross the creek, many other trails. There are several technically challenging sections on the trail, some easy trail, and some in the middle. At 3 miles, this is a good warm up to get a taste of trail on the South side of Oak Creek.
