Use this topic to read / modify the description of the track. Do your best to inform others of tricky directions, fees, dangers, or unique features about the track. This is also a great place to suggest that the author of this track should change innacurate information or ratings. Go to this track

I would suggest doing this trail from Brush Creek to Gothic as it will give you the most singletrack bang for your buck. That said, folks do it both directions. From Brush Creek, you climb to the West Brush Creek/Pearl Pass fork and take a left. Climb more (get used to it) until you get to the next fork where the sign says Deer Creek and go left. This jeep road will switch back and climb some more. From the top there is a quick descent - LOOK FOR THE SIGN TO DEER CREEK. It is on the left where a jeep road descends and easy to whizz by. Once at the bottom you will hit a meadow and the jeep road will turn to singletrack. Settle in for a long, challenging climb. I have heard some people have cleaned it, but never witnessed it first-hand. The climb is gradual and gets more punishing towards the the top. I consider this the second of three major climbs. Enjoy the views of Mt. CB and then descend into some serious singletrack.

There will be some ups and downs, but mostly down, until it is time to go up again. You will do a stream crossing and then start another switchback climb. There are a couple punchy climbs and some contouring before you top out in a beautiful high mountain meadow overlooking Gothic Mountain. You will know you are at the top of the final descent when you see two cow skulls posted on poles on either side of the trail. Hard to miss (see image). Enjoy the final downhill, but be forewarned there is a fair bit of contouring that still needs to be done before you end the ride.

Once the singletrack ends on a jeep road. Go right and stay on that road until it intersects with Gothic Rd. From there go left if you want to head back to town or right if you want to go to Gothic - there is a little store there with cold drinks and snacks.
