16  General Forum / Random / 18 Hours of Fruita on: February 02, 2011, 07:00:31 PM
Thinking about signing up for 18 hours of Fruita this May. Anyone have any experience or feedback on the course? Mainly wondering if it would be a good one on the single speed? Also, what other events are people looking at for 2011?

Still riding dirt in the Front Range but it sounds like that may end today.

September 9-11 is the Denver Bicycle Film Festival. If you're in the Front range it's well worth a visit. I attended the Boston show the last couple years and it was always good, with some really interesting films.

I say just match the right lens with the light and use the goggles that you use in the winter.
20  General Forum / Random / Rigid or Suspension Fork on: June 17, 2010, 10:22:39 AM
Building up a Redline Monocoq 29er single speed. It comes with a rigid fork but I also have a Rock Shox Reba. Any thoughts on what would be the better set up for Front Range trails?

Catching an annual road ride with a friend from Boston to Brewster MA. Just over 100 miles and tons of fun plus we end the day with a swim in the ocean.

This whole thing could run deep. From what I read on Cycling News and NY Times the Feds are involved now and investigating fraud charges and that is a much more intense charge then taking a prescription drug with out a script.

Have not ridden one and that is why I'm hesitant to just dive into ordering the frame but it does have tons of good reviews.

Reba all the way. I have an older one on my 29er and have been super happy with how it has performed.

I vote for the rear hitch mount set up. I've used both and have permanent scratches on bikes from bugs when bikes have been on top and a couple bikes crush your mileage on your car.

I was looking at the Surly Karate Monkey. Seems like a real solid frame and I've heard all sorts of good stuff about all there frames.

Looking for a steel 29er SS frame. Anyone riding anything they really dig or heard any good reviews of anything in particular. Don't have the cash for a custom steel but want something mid range.
