1  General Forum / Random / Snow Tire? on: December 28, 2011, 09:39:01 AM
While snow in the high country is thin we are deep in the powder in the Front Range. Commuting the last couple weeks has been slippery and sporty.  That has me thinking about snow tire options. Anyone have experience with any sort on non- studded snow tire? Looking for something that would be 700c x 35 and would rather not have something studded since the commute is a mix of snow, ice, and dry pavement.

Anyone have any experience with the Breck 100? Looking at the website it looks like a great race but just looking for the gritty details.
8  General Forum / Random / Pueblo CO Rides on: May 24, 2011, 07:35:37 AM
I've heard from a number of folks that Pueblo has some great trails. Thinking about a mission down there over the holiday weekend. Anyone ridden in that area or even know if it's worth the trip?

Sweet video! Might sound silly but knowing that I could ride that trail more often came into my mind when we decided to move from Boston to CO. Nice work Cakes.

Windy but tons of good riding in the Front Range if anyone needs some ride time.

14  Trail/Track Information / Track Descriptions / Re: Green Mountain Park - No Location Selected on: April 28, 2011, 11:30:47 AM
Green Mountain is my go to ride for anything from a quick 45 min spin to a two hour training ride. As a destination ride it ranks pretty low but for a ride that is accessible from the Denver metro area it's great before or after work! There are three main loops that all involve some climbing and some really smooth, twisty, banked corner descending. Be sure to descend White Rabbit trail via the Green Mountain Loop. Another plus is that from Green Mountain you can also link several longer loops in Morrison, just depends on your schedule and goals. Being close to Denver it gets crowded on the weekends so go early or ride weekdays if you can.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I'll be signing up and that will make for some nice early season motivation.
