It gave a lot of respect to Dave Wiens, our local champion and six-time event winner. The film gave a lot of respect to the field of participants, from those who didn’t make the cutoff to those who gave it all and gave their stories happy endings. Jan-21 The Crank Collective Melissa Buhl Interview - Melissa is a student of Kinesiology with aspirations to study medicine. She is also one of the fastest women ever to pedal a bike. Melissa was the 1998 Junior National Champion in DH, has National Championship titles in downhill (’05, ’07, ’08, and ’09), dual-slalom (’07 and ‘08), and four-cross (’02 and ’08). Cakes : 5 days ago Alright, it wasn't even close to warm yesterday and I saw a couple locals out on their road bikes. It just looks odd seeing bikes riding along a road where the snow banks are still six feet tall. |

JC : 17 days ago I was down there yesterday while it was hammering up here, and had a friend go down there last night, and said it was not snowing at all in Gunni, so maybe there is still a chance? |

Cakes : 8 days ago I'm in. Once Always signed me up while I was getting extreme in Aspen. He is signed up, too, but his missus is due and he might miss out. Could be an opportunity for you if he can't make it. But I hope he does. |

JC : 11 days ago Cakes, is the Growler already full? Dammit! Really? Are you in? Pull any strings? Man I tried to register Thursday morning and its saying I suck and am not invited. Wow. I mean, thats accurate, but, how do they know that? |

whiteguyfro : 13 days ago Bianchi San Jose fixed gear with full fenders and big cruiser bars. Super psyched with that set up and the total ease of maintenance. |

Cakes : 13 days ago What bike are you attaching these panniers to, Fro? |

Cakes : 13 days ago I believe we will have to document the movie experience. I want to see how their version is different than mine. I was there filming it for Velonews/Singletrack.com so I was right in the mix the whole time and will bring my salty disposition to call them out for embellishments in the name of cinemat |
